Connie Wang (one of the fab Refinery29 editors) never fails to make me laugh my horrendous laugh out loud with this video as her and her friend teach those born without natural sophistication, such as myself, to properly pronounce important fashion names. And surprise surprise, I didn't properly pronounce half of these names before I saw this. So before you go out and make a fool of yourself, make sure you watch this!

m.m.m. and 2010
I'm such a sucker for the classic fashion houses that have dressed and transformed women over the years long before I existed. Chanel and Yves Saint Laurent have always been my favorites. But it's time to look towards the future and the new coming year. I'm definitely looking for some new inspiration and perspective. So happy holidays everyone and especially a HAPPY NEW YEAR! I leave you with a video of Maison Martin Margiela, a fashion house constantly looking towards the future. Good luck to everyone's New Year's resolutions, it's going to be a GREAT year! :)

clutter me beautiful
I can be quite the ratpacker. I can't seem to throw away the too-small t-shirts with autographs of all my sixth grade classmates or random hello kitty items I made my mom buy every time we passed the Sanrio store at the mall. All those sentimental feelings are tucked away some place somewhere in my house. They're waiting to be thoughtfully placed in some awesome future apartment I'll have, which will be decorated in that "beautiful mess" type of style. I love organized clutter. It's like the happy compromise between the neat freak in me and the actual chaos of life. Here are some inspirations for my future apartment.... uhhh... .. I mean mansion/penthouse.

my magazine collection WILL look like hers.
I want my closet to be as big as Lisa Mayock's of Vena Cava.
I want my belts and jewelery to be organized in a nook just like hers except around an antique birdcage instead.
And I want my shelves color coded. I want I want I want.
Here's a tidbit of my shoes. I'll try to post outfit pics soon, just need to find the time!

Just chillaxin tonight with some honey green tea, curryhouse dinner, V and RUSSH (some newly found zines that I love).
Looking forward to the US movie releases for The September Issue by RJ Cutler and Coco Avant Chanel featuring Audrey Tatou!
